Carl Cox teams up with the NHS to encourage people to get vaccinated

"What we don't want is clubs to not work at the end of the day"

Carl Cox has teamed up with the NHS to encourage club-goers to get their COVID-19 vaccination.

In a YouTube video posted onto the NHS's official account, Carl discusses with Dr Kishnan Bodalia - who works on the frontline on a COVID ward - why it is so important to get vaccinated if you plan to return to the club.

When asked what he would say to people who are tempted to not get jabbed, or haven't gotten around to it yet, Carl said: "We are in a pandemic, this is something we're all trying to deal with and all trying to work on."

"What we don't want is clubs to not work at the end of the day, we are all on the frontline now. So the only thing we can do is protect ourselves, to be able to enjoy our moments."

Carl discusses his experience with the jab - commenting that the first one had been no problem and the second one was "a bit bruisy", but insists now he is "absolutely fine."

The legendary DJ chatted to Mixmag in December about his belief that people should be "patient" about wanting to go back into nightclubs post-pandemic: "It’s irresponsible to be out there at the moment based on how everyone is trying to do the right thing to get past this."

Adding: "Having a party in a pandemic, doesn't make any sense whatsoever. People are still suffering from this and we aren't out of it yet."
