Break & Kyo

Freight train bassline and guitar swagger

This year's been a prolific one for Bristol producer Break. He's released the 'Murmur VIP' with Octane, the '40 Hurts' EP on Gutterfunk, 'Strictly Entertainment'/'Dulcit Tones' on Playaz and put out 'Symmetry Sessions 2' on Symmetry.

He won't be sitting back and thinking that's enough for the year though, as third album 'Simpler Times' is due to arrive in September, adding to a decade-long list of releases on Metalheadz, Ram, Dispatch, Critical Recordings and a load more.

If you've heard the thunderball 'Give It Up' from Symmetry Sessions 2', we're sure you're eager to hear more swinging Break swagger and that's what you get with 'Simpler Times'.

Regular collaborator Kyo provides the sweet-sounding vocals, underlaid with one of Break's typical freight train basslines and some delicate guitar strings. Festival smash, no doubt.

'Simpler Times'/'Top Shooter' is out on July 10 via Symmetry Recordings. Pre-order the vinyl here and the digital version here
