Björk will play a four-hour DJ set at Sónar
The Icelandic icon is opening up the Barcelona event
Sónar has completed the line-up for its forthcoming festival in Barcelona which runs across June 14 to 18.
Björk, who recently played a secret set at London’s Corsica Studios for Hyperdub’s midweek Ø party, has been locked in to spin a four-hour DJ set on the opening night at the Fira Montjuïc’s SonarHall stage. This requires a separate ticket to the main music program.
Barcelona’s Centre for Contemporary Culture will also host a new exhibition, Björk Digital, across June 13 to September 24, which will combine performance, cinema, installation, video, interaction and Virtual Reality for an immersive experience of Björk’s visual art collaborations.
The Sónar+D conference has additionally confirmed a Björk talk discussing her connection to the audio-visual world, which also takes place on Wednesday June 14.
Head to Sónar’s website to purchase tickets to the festival.
