Belaria releases debut EP, 'Boost & Doubts'
It follows two singles and a remix from the young, 'homegrown' artist
Paris-based producer and DJ Baleria has released her debut EP, 'Boost & Doubts'.
Dropped this week via Friendsome Records, the four-tracker takes the listener on what has been dubbed a "retro-minimal journey" which utilises heavy beats and melodic synths.
'Boost & Doubts' follows two singles and a remix from the artist: all of which are disco infused, dance-floor ready cuts.

The EP is no different - traversing between dark disco, italo and synth-wave, the record starts and finishes with club orientated tunes, 'Boost' and 'Esteem'. Between these, minimalist and downtempo 'Rest In B' and 'Burning Inside' take the listener on a journey which succinctly showcases Baleria's sound.
"One year after the release of my first track, I’m more than happy to finally unveil my debut EP. Be ready to listen to a very personal journey and enter into my musical world. Hard to define a unique style for this four-tracker EP, it goes from italo to dark disco through a more retro-minimalistic ambiance. Each track is punctuated by vocals that I recorded. These vocals are my way to express all these emotions and feelings that parasitise me.
"The A1 track 'Boost' represents a moment of euphoria, an energising moment, a moment of recovery after a down period. 'Rest in B' is a nod to Brittany, a region where I have all my family and where I always feel good. This track is a praise to the well being that this place gives me, far from the stress. 'Burning Inside' is the most personal of all, talking about the anxieties I can have in everyday life. 'Esteem' alludes to self-confidence and is a bit my message of hope to close the EP."
