Awakenings unveils line-up for its 2023 summer festival

The "mini techno holiday" is returning to its Hilvarenbeek surroundings with Amelie Lens, Ben Böhmer, Honey Dijon and more in tow

Awakenings Summer Festival is returning in July, and has announced its stacked line-up for the three-day "mini techno holiday" in The Netherlands following teasers at the brand's recent Eindhoven show.

Amongst the 110 names on the bill, mainstays Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens and Dutch favourite Reinier Zonneveld all return, with 999999999, Indira Paganotto and I Hate Models set to contrast the serene Hilvarenbeek setting with harder techno sounds.

Also on the billing are Honey Dijon, TSHA and Patrick Topping to add some groovier soundscapes, whilst "rising talents" such as AMÉMÉ, Patrick Mason and Spekki Webu also secure spots on the programme.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome back our fans to our festival grounds for a three-day techno weekender," Awakenings' Tim Middelesch tells Mixmag. "Last year the festival exceeded our dreams and we cannot wait to do it all over again this summer.

"Our visitors seem eager to join as well, the response so far is great and most of the accommodation already sold out in an instant - but luckily we have a big campsite with enough room for groups of friends to set up camp themselves or to stay in one of our pre-set up tents."

Due to last year's success with regards to its accommodation options, Awakenings will once more permit tent camping in secure and intricately-decorated campsites, including pre-setup tents for those who don't want to transport heavy loads. Its more luxurious options - including 'lodge tents' with beds and electricity, or renting out a lodge entirely situated on the site's national park - will also be on offer.

Campers will again have access to a full activity programme inclusive of nighttime DJ sets in the 'night village', daytime sports - last year saw a popularity in 'techno yoga' - and even a spa to unwind and relax between the hours of dancing.
