Alexander Nut to leave Rinse FM after eight years
Co-head of Eglo Records hangs up his headphones on the station's legendary Saturday afternoon show
Alexander Nut announced this morning that he is to call it a day on his eight-year tenure at Rinse FM. The Eglo records co-head has been at the station since its pirate radio days.
Writing on his Facebook page, Nut said: "After eight incredible years on Rinse FM I have decided to call it a day." He also went on to say this wouldn't be the end of his broadcasting career. "After a short break and some time to decide on my next move I will be back on the airwaves sharing the music I love with people who feel the same."
In his Facebook post he thanked a number of guests that have featured on the show, which highlight the stature of his legendary Saturday afternoon session. They include Jamie xx, Mark Pritchard, Hudson Mohawke, Scratcha DVA and his Eglo Records associates Fatima and Floating Points.
