AKG and Mixmag reveal how Kidnap's maturation is pushing him to grow as an artist

Dropping the "kid" from his alias and continuing to explore "universal rhythms"

With an emphasis on seclusion, artistic solidarity and refined audio gear from AKG, Mixmag and Samsung teamed up to bring a handful of musicians to the remote forests of Woodstock, New York and the open desert of Joshua Tree, California for two wholly unique electronic music retreats. Immersed in these thought-provoking environments, we created an engaging original mini-documentary on each participating artist to give viewers a novel perspective on their profile and creative process.

Taking part in our Woodstock retreat was the London-based DJ and producer Kidnap. Formerly known as Kidnap Kid, the artist discusses how his refreshed and maturing creative process emphasizes exploration over inspiration. Taking the time to dig for the "universal rhythms" that are always flowing through life, Kidnap illustrates how his constant pursuit of new music keeps his mind focused and full of fresh ideas.
