Beatrice Dillon to mint new label HI with ‘Seven Reorganisations’
Dillon has called the project “A major shift in direction for me"
Beatrice Dillon has announced a new label, HI, with the inaugural release ‘Seven Reorganisations’ due to land on November 1.
The four-track release features two new cuts on the A-side, ‘Seven Reorganisations I’ and ‘Seven Reorganisations II’, with live versions of each track on the B-side.

Originally commissioned by Mark Fell, the acoustic composition was written and performed by Dillon with the contemporary classical sextet Explore Ensemble, and marks a departure from the experimental electronic sound of her last album ‘Workaround’ on PAN.
It’s informed by the psychoanalysis of W.R. Bion, philosophy of Byung Chul-Han, art of Hasegawa Tohaku, and photography of Terri Weifenbach, with the release artwork taken from the latter’s Woods series.
“A major shift in direction for me...exploring quieter, slowly shifting patterns within the acoustic realm of the sextet: piano, violin, viola, cello, flute and bass clarinet,” says Dillon. “So grateful to Explore Ensemble for their delicate playing. I hope the cover artwork from inspiring photographer, Terri Weifenbach, offers the listener a new way of hearing the music.”

Dillon is currently working on a concert-length recording and performance with the Explore Ensemble, with solo electronic releases and artist film soundtracks also planned.
