Tupac’s brother shares suspicions over Diddy’s alleged involvement in late rapper’s murder

Mopreme said that he believes Diddy isn’t “being honest” about his connection to the incident

Tupac’s brother Mopreme Shakur has shared his suspicions over Diddy’s denial that he was involved in the late rapper’s murder more than 25 years ago.

Last week, Mopreme appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored where he opened up about his brother’s murder and touched on rumours around Diddy’s alleged involvement.

His appearance on the show came just under a year after Duane 'Keefe D' Davis, a former gang leader from California, was indicted for the 1996 murder in Las Vegas.

The 61-year-old was indicted more than 27 years after the murder, when Police claimed that Davis planned the shooting with his nephew after a fight in a Las Vegas casino. He pleaded not guilty during a court hearing in November 2023.

Since Davis’ indictment, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been at the centre of suspicion after Tupac’s family launched an investigation into his alleged involvement in the murder.

According to The Sun, Combs was named 77 times in legal documents surrounding Tupac’s murder case, and was accused by Davis of ordering a hit on the late rapper for the price of $1 million.

Combs has fervently denied all claims of his involvement in a follow-up statement, though Mopreme has revealed that he has “doubts” over his denials, alleging: “My opinion is that I don’t believe it was a 100% honest statement.”

Speaking to Piers Morgan, Mopreme said: “We gotta find out what’s true and what’s false – what’s real and what’s fake,” adding that he believes the murder involved “multiple people, planning, and coordination”.

Mopreme also claimed that he spoke to Combs over the phone years after Tupac’s death, where he “basically said he had nothing to do with my brother’s murder”.

“I told him: ‘The truth is still yet to come out, so we’re going to see’. And here we are, 27 or 28 years later, it looks like there’s some doubt in that statement along with all the other suspicions that people have.”

Piers also asked if he thought Combs was lying, to which he responded: “Quite possibly, and it’s kind of looking that way, in my opinion.”

Mopreme’s suspicions of Combs come amidst a wave of new sexual misconduct accusations against the 54-year-old rapper and producer.
