Daytimers to take over London's Horniman Museum for celebration of South Asian artistry

The collective has curated a day of music, panel talks, workshops and food, taking place this Saturday

Daytimers are running a day festival to celebrate South Asian creativity, at South East London’s Horniman Museum.

The South Asian underground collective have been invited by the Forest Hill-based museum to take over the space, with the festival running from 2:PM to 7:PM this Saturday (June 15).

Although Daytimers have been renowned for their impact on dance music, the event will see them champion the breadth of South Asian creativity, with a day of DJ sets, live performances, talks, workshops, and food and drink, as part of their, “wider mission to further engage our community, with inclusivity and accessibility at the heart of what we do.”

The festival is also set to welcome takeovers from South Asian poetry collective Mehfil Arts, as well as Lewisham’s community radio station and soon-to-be venue Sister Midnight, who’ll be hosting their residents alongside some special guests.
