Forthcoming Kamaal Williams gigs cancelled following sexual assault allegations
Headline shows in London, Leeds, Manchester, and Bristol have all been called off

All of Kamaal Williams’ forthcoming headline shows have been cancelled following sexual assault allegations published by Resident Advisor on Wednesday, May 22.
Williams, also known as Henry Wu, will no longer perform his forthcoming shows including three sold-out headline nights at London’s Jazz Cafe which were due to go ahead later this month.
His performances at Leeds’ Belgrave Music Hall, Manchester’s Blues Kitchen, and Bristol’s Central Warehouse have also been cancelled, each due to go ahead over the coming weeks.
The string of cancellations came shortly after an investigation was published by Resident Advisor detailing multiple accusations of sexual assault against Williams spanning more than 10 years.
Three women alleged incidents that took place individually of one another in 2010, 2021 and 2023. The report claims that the women aren’t known to each other - despite detailing similar accounts of sexual assault and coercive behaviour within the investigation.
Resident Advisor spoke to second-hand witnesses and reviewed text and email conversations from all three women as part of its investigation — including a statement filed to the Metropolitan Police in 2020 from one of the women and an email from the Met confirming the date she had reported the alleged sexual assault in 2020 and a further video statement given in 2021.
A representative for Kamaal Williams told RA that the allegations made are “very serious” and “untrue”, adding that Williams “emphatically denies” the accusations made.
