22 images capturing the glory of Glastonbury 2017

Many, including us, are saying it's one of the best years ever

Bestowing best-ever status on something is usually a practice that begs controversy and outrage. But, and we're being serious here, this year's Glastonbury is truly in the running for it.

After last year's washout, this year's edition was already in the good books thanks to some baking weather in the lead up and a distinct lack of rain during. And with the festival taking a year off in 2018, everyone was fully up for making the most of their time.

Any grumbles about a weak line-up were firmly put to rest when the likes of Radiohead, Stormzy, Solange, Chic, Sampha, Justice, Anderson .Paak and a whole load more took the stage while Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn drew a crowd rivalling the headliners.

Then there's the hedonism of Block9, the line-ups of the Silver Hayes stages, the visuals of Arcadia and the raucous afters that is the Stone Circle making it impossible to not have fun wherever you went on site.

We're gutted it won't be back next year, but the anticipation for 2019 begins now.
