Tunnel Signs and Will Buck channel 'Spirits' on new track
Check out the NYC-based pair's first release on Cutters Records
NYC-based Australian producer Tunnel Signs and his housemate turned studio partner Will Buck have released their first track on Cutters Records.
Tribal percussion drives 'Spirits' through modulated synths and undulating bass patterns with hypnotic swagger and a nod to the sounds of Red Axes, Multi Culti and Four Tet.
It's the result of a share-house bond over synthesizers, drum machines and rhythm, which progressed from freeform jam sessions to the fresh release.
On the flip, Hivern Discs artist Marc Piñol has turned in an acid-coated techno rework.
Tunnel Signs, real name Ash Moses, has released on Nein, Clouded Vision and HAKT in the past. His latest is the first on Cut Copy's Cutters Records imprint this year, following STATUE's 'Monument' EP in December.
'Spirits' is out this week on 12" and digital. Check it out below.
