Recondite plots his return to Ghostly with new ‘Corvus’ EP
As he continues his strong output of deep and spellbinding music
After releasing his second LP on Ghostly International three years ago, Recondite will return to the label in November with his ‘Corvus’ EP.
Since he last graced the imprint, Recondite has been a busy producer, making his rounds and releasing on top quality labels like Innervisions, Life And Death, Dystopian, Hotflush and Acid Test. Now with a five track EP on Ghostly he’s proving to be one of the most in demand artists currently in the scene.
The new material might be a slight departure from his previous work as Recondite admits the EP is "a bit more serious". Drawing on inspiration from Ryuichi Sakamoto's soundtrack for ‘The Revenant’ and Max Frisch's heady novel Homo Faber, he reveals that, contrary to popular belief, he’s not necessarily focusing on a dark motif. "Melancholic doesn't necessarily mean dark,” says Recondite. “Music can be happy and moody."
Recondite’s ‘Corvus’ EP is set for release on November 11 and features four originals plus a remix by Ricardo Donoso.
