Maceo Plex announces new album 'Solar' on Lone Romantic imprint
Directly following last year's 'Journey To Solar' release
Maceo Plex, real name Eric Estornel, has announced a June release date for his upcoming album 'Solar'.
The 11-track production, which sequels last year's 'Journey To Solar' released on his iconic Ellum, will issue through Estornel's new label Lone Romantic.
Both albums, named after his son, were produced during the same time period. According to the producer, the upcoming 'Solar' is dedicated to his first few years of fatherhood and the effect it had on his life.
In comparison to its predecessor, 'Solar' showcases Maceo's more varied side with the LP touching in fields of dub, breakbeat and techno.
'Solar' will release via Lone Romantic on June 16. Listen to the preview track 'Lucid Dreamer' below.
