Jeff Mills reveals full details of new ‘Planets’ album
Coming to you on CD and Blu-Ray next month
Techno pioneer Jeff Mills has revealed the full details of his forthcoming “electronic classical” concept album ‘Planets’.
The record, described as "an 18-piece suite that explores the nine planets, including the portions of space in between the planets", arrives on his Axis Records imprint next month on CD and Blu-Ray.
The album is a tribute to English composer Gustav Holst’s score, ‘The Planets’ and was finished at legendary recording studio Abbey Road studios last year.
Mills will debut his Planets show at the Barbican in June this year during a four-date residency.
