In 2016, the Fania music label joined forces with the Manana organization to launch a new music festival celebrating Cuban culture.

Fania has been one of the leading New York City imprints over the past half decade, slating highly influential Latin artists and creating the union between the spiritual genre and underground dance music.

Manana is a Cuban and British non-profit that works to continue this key relationship, built on a deep love and passion for the city of Santiago and the Latin American spirit.

With Cuba's US trade embargo ending in the near future, both parties found this pivotal period the perfect time to push forth and highlight the preservation of the country's original roots. In May last year, Manana debuted their first festival in Santiago, bringing together nearly 50 international and Cuban artists for a dynamic blend of live acts, DJ sets, vocalists, instrumentalists and purely raw, feel good vibrations.

Fania and Manana now release a three-part mini documentary series charting the success of the event and telling the tale of Latin American culture across the globe, featuring names like Uproot Andy, Jose Marquez and Nickodemus.
