Pioneer DJ's new controller is "the ideal piece of kit for first-time DJs”
The rekordbox-ready product is out at the end of June
Pioneer DJ has announced the DDJ-400 controller.
The two-channel controller is designed for use with the latest update of rekordbox. The updated rekordboxTM ver 5.3, released today (June 26), and the DDJ-400 will come with a free licence key (worth €139 euros).
Pioneer DJ says it's for those who “want to try DJing at home and see how far you can take it”, calling it “the perfect controller to learn on”.
The controller is compatible with the new Tutorial feature for rekordbox, teaching you the basics of equipment operation step by step, to teach those of you who’ve never even touched the decks before.
The kit is “lightweight and portable”, and comes with a club-style layout. Key operations such as play/pause and cue buttons are laid out like the professional Pioneer DJ ranges, allowing you to get familiar with the kit you might hope to play on in clubs in the future.
The DDJ-400 will be released late this June for £249 SRP including VAT.
