Zeb Samuels releases new EP 'System Update'

Zeb Samuels has just released a new four-track EP, 'System Update'.

Available via the London-based producers imprint Deep Heads from today (April 4), 'System Update' is a continuation of Samuels' signature downtempo sonics heard in his previous work, Including his first two albums 'Hope & Light' and 'Arrival'.

Samuels' had teased the project with lead single 'Far and Wide', a trippy atmospheric track that mashes decadent synths with trip hop-esque rhythm – while last week (Friday, March 28) the second single from the EP, 'The Switch' premiered on Mixmag's SoundCloud.

According to Samuels, 'The Switch' is all about "switching up that energy sometimes that we all need to shake off".

"For me when I’m in that zone, I need to focus on the music, so the song is almost a self-note telling me to focus on the music and everything else will be okay," he adds. "And if not, at least I had the enjoyment of getting lost in the music."

'System Update' has already had a warm reception prior to its release, with plays by Don Letts on BBC Radio 6 Music, Tim Parker's NTS Radio show and Laurent Garnier, who labelled the track: "simply beautiful."
