DJ, producer, and former Mixmag cover star Yu Su has announced the launch of a brand new festival set to debut in Shanghai this autumn, OUHE.

The Vancouver-based artist is set to return to her birthplace of China to host the three-day festival, with the line-up still yet to be confirmed.

It marks Yu Su's first time running an event in China, kicking off on September 29 and concluding on October 3. It follows a recent string of performances all across the US and Europe.

Yu Su has teamed up with DJ and Elevator Club cofounder Mau Mau, Chinese producer Knopha, and multidisciplinary artist Youpo on the festival's curation, promotion and creative direction.

OUHE will take place at a former Shanghai abattoir, Slaughterhouse 1933, a brutalist building which has been transformed into a shopping mall, theatre and entertainment complex whilst maintaining the building’s art deco columns and structure.

The festival will begin with an ambient performance on September 29, before welcoming a number of DJs who are yet to be announced across two days of performances on October 2 and October 3.

To mark the announcement, Yu Su has created an OUHE-themed Spotify playlist to give listeners a taste of what to expect at the three-day event.
