YouTube launches artist resource service
YouTube For Artists will soon be available on a global scale
YouTube's launched a new service to provide artists with information on how to get the best out of it.
Soon to be available on a global scale, although only in English at the moment, YouTube For Artists will apparently assist users with getting airtime on radio stations like SiriusXM and NRJ, being included in the Billboard charts and accessing free production resources.
An analytical tool, not yet live, may be the most fruitful part, though, letting artists know where most of their views come from, offering them information on where's best to tour and the ideal time to release music to gain maximum results.
YouTube's director of music partnerships Vivien Lewit says: "What we're doing in a sense is putting the wisdom of the experts in the hands of everyone."
