Yosoy (Slow Porn Version)

As individuals, production pair Slow Porn are purveyors of darkness.

Remain has put out a string of biting electro through his Meant Records imprint, while Phred Noir is the artistic director of Marseille-based label La dame Noir, pushing the label's murky aesthetic with black-heavy design.

Working together brings out a dirtier side in them, as the project name Slow Porn attests. Under this alias they produce self-described "filthy grooves" that are soaked in deep, brooding lust.

Their next release, an EP for Canadian label My Favorite Robot, features a remix of Yosoy's 'Soldier' that exemplifies this loose production style that falls somewhere in the middle of a Venn diagram comprising house, techno, disco and electro.

A muted percussion click starts proceedings on 'Soldier (Slow Porn Version)', before the track gradually swells with the introduction of an early 90s-pop styled bassline, deep vocals and an infectious, staccato synth melody. Listen below.

Slow Porn 'Opium 1:19' EP lands on My Favorite Robot on December 28
