XL’s Richard Russell announces debut album as Everything Is Recorded

XL Recordings co-founder Richard Russell has unveiled a new body of work under his collaborative music project Everything is Recorded.

With a stunning spectrum of guests joining Russell on the album, the likes of Sampha, Giggs, Syd, Ibeyi, Damon Albarn, Obongjayar and Kamasi Washington have all offered instrumental or vocal contributions to the project, titled ‘Everything is Recorded by Richard Russell’.

To accompany the album announcement, a new pop-up residency has been unveiled, playing host to the debut Everything is Recorded live performance on February 15, with Sampha, Ibeyi, Warren Ellis and more confirmed to perform.

Running from February 14 through to 17, the Everything is Recorded In Residence event is described as “a major site-specific music and art installation on two floors of the abandoned Savoy cinema in Dalston” in a press statement.

‘Everything is Recorded by Richard Russell’ is scheduled for release on February 16 via XL Recordings. Pre-order the album here.
