It’s a weird world we live in where a cartoon can make a multi-national corporation bring back a sauce it made for a few months in 1998 as promotion for a fairly forgettable movie.

But that’s exactly what Adult Swim show Rick and Morty has done to McDonald’s which announced it’s doing another limited run of the brown gold on October 7 in the United States.

Ever since character Rick uttered the words “nine more seasons until I get that Szechuan dipping sauce, Morty. For 97 more years, Morty. I want that McNugget dipping sauce!” at his grandson, many have tried to get their hands on the condiment.

Co-creator Justin Roiland was sent a huge jug of sauce earlier this year, and Deadmau5 reportedly bought a bottle for $15,000.

But today McDonald’s head chef, Mike Haracz made the announcement everyone could soon get the taste, tweeting Roiland: “Your fans showed us what they got, now WE got to bring it back. Super limited run Szechuan Sauce, only on [7 October]!”
