Wu-Tang Clan vow to end Sydney's lockouts
Wu-Tang is for the children. And the clubbers.
Wu-Tang vowed to end Sydney's infamous lockout laws during a live set in the city last night.
According to The Daily Telegraph, after finishing the Hordern Pavilion show in front of 5,000 fans, RZA offered his support to Sydney-siders, who've been wearing 1.30am lockouts and 3am last drinks for the past two years.
"We heard y’all got some new laws," RZA told the crowd.
"We going to to get these laws changed for y’all.
No word yet on how Wu-Tang are going to get this done, but we like the mental image of Raekwon, Ghostface and crew rocking up at NSW Premier Mike Baird's place for a discussion. Kogarah MP Chris Minns supported the intentions. "I don’t normally get my policy advice from a man named Ghostface Killah but on this one he is right," the Labor MP said. "These laws need to be changed."
Wu-Tang were reportedly forced to have their after party at Jam Gallery in Bondi Junction outside the lockout zone so they could actually get in after the show.
The lockout laws are currently under review and more than 15,000 people turned out to Keep Sydney Open last Sunday.
