Kneecap offer Helen from Wales free tickets after she broadcasts full Glastonbury set on TikTok
The Swansea native streamed Kneecap's entire set on Saturday after The BBC said it would not broadcast the performance live
A woman from Wales has been offered free tickets to any of Kneecap’s future performances after she livestreamed the group’s Glastonbury performance on TikTok.
Helen Wilson, a vegan café owner from Swansea, began streaming the rap trio’s anticipated show on Saturday, June 28, when they appeared on the festival’s West Holts stage.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, Wilson claimed that “the BBC got it wrong” when they chose not to broadcast Kneecap’s performance live, and offered to step in and stream it herself.
“I can’t believe the attention this has got, it’s been crazy,” she told the Belfast Telegraph. “There were an awful lot of people who wanted to see Kneecap on the Glastonbury stage.”

In response, Kneecap offered Wilson free entry to any of their future shows, commenting under the stream: “Helen you’re a legend! Tickets to any show just giz a shout!”
The trio’s Glastonbury performance went ahead as planned over the weekend despite calls from MPs to prevent it from happening due to backlash over two resurfaced clips of the band performing in 2023 and 2024 – the former reportedly capturing group member Mo Chara shouting: “Kill your local MP”.
The latter clip allegedly captured Mo Chara (real name Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh) waving a Hezbollah flag on stage in London. It led the rapper to be charged under the 2000 Terrorism Act – he has since been granted unconditional bail.
In the lead-up to their performance, the BBC said that it would “not ban“ Kneecap from its Glastonbury 2025 broadcast, but instead released an edited version of their set on iPlayer after the show.

After she began streaming the set, Helen Wilson said that she “couldn’t stop” once realising how many viewers had tuned in, the Irish News reports. The stream has now garnered some 2 million interactions.
“I’m a big fan of Kneecap, and obviously I’ve been following what’s been happening with them, and so a few days ago I had the idea to do a live on TikTok,” she said (via Irish News).
“At the time I was supposed to be working a shift, but luckily my manager allowed my friend and I to go down to the Kneecap set,” she added. “I don’t agree with artists being silenced – when institutions avoid politically outspoken artists, I think that it’s up to us, the fans, to make sure their voices are still heard.”
