Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff to reunite for show in Blackpool
An unlikely appearance in the Lancashire town
Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff have announced a pair of European dates this summer.
Smith will reunite with his former musical partner and co-star from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for a single UK date in Blackpool.
The film star announced the dates by sharing a video of the duo in their youth on his Facebook page with the caption, “First two shows are locked!! Y’all ready?!”, indicating there may well be more shows in the works.
Both stars hail from Philadelphia and met after Jazzy Jeff’s hype man failed to turn up to a gig. Impromptu, Smith jumped on the mic and by the end of the night the duo had decided to work together.
The Fresh Prince & DJ Jazzy Jeff will play MTV Summer Blast in Croatia on August 26 and Livewire Festival in Blackpool on August 27.
