My Nu Leng to split up after 15 years
The Bristol drum 'n' bass duo will perform together for the last time at Boomtown next weekend
My Nu Leng have announced that they will no longer be working together as a duo after 15 years.
The Bristol-based drum 'n' bass outfit, AKA Tommy Jackson and Jammo Irving, announced the news via Instagram today (July 28), writing: "After 15 incredible years of touring, producing and living our dreams... it's time for us to close the My Nu Leng chapter".
My Nu Leng went on to confirm that their last performance together will be at next weekend's Boomtown Festival on Friday, August 8, at South Downs National Park, Winchester.

"We are grateful for every moment, the early sets in tiny clubs and sleeping on promoters’ floors to the festivals and shows around the world. We will forever be proud of everything we have achieved together," they continue. "Thank you to every promoter that booked us, the labels who believed in us and every single person who bought a ticket and streamed or downloaded our music".
Formed in Bristol in 2012, My Nu Leng were foundational in bridging the gap between drum 'n' bass and tech-orientated 4x4 sounds. Regular faces at some of the UK's biggest festivals and clubs, the duo have also worked on a steady run of releases - on both their own imprint Wavelegnths, as well as labels such as Black Butter, Shogun Audio, UKF, and more.

In December 2023, Jackson and Irving announced "a new chapter" under the alias MNL., releasing an EP, 'For The Longest Time', on Shall Not Fade a month later, and describing the release as "its own home, away from the aggy, grittiness of My Nu Leng."
