Nick Warren is auctioning off his “extensive” record collection

The online sale, which currently features over 200 lots, will go ahead on March 15

Nick Warren is auctioning off his “extensive” record collection

Nick Warren, The Soundgarden head honcho and one half of Way Out West is auctioning off his entire record collection on March 15.

“I'm very excited to announce that my extensive record collection is going to find a new home this spring,” Warren revealed on Twitter last night.

The virtual sale currently features 202 lots, with each lot compiling different numbers of records from varying genres, including electro, ambient, prog rock, soul, trance, trip-hop, and dub.

“From my days of being Massive Attack's tour DJ to my time at Cream, Twilo and pretty much every major club in the world, the collection holds not just my dancefloor records but the extensive collection of Avant Garde electronica I have collected over the years,” Warren added.

Each lot is estimated to fetch between £50 and £100, while others could grab upwards of £200. Warren is also auctioning off singles and box sets such as Mariah Carey’s limited edition ’12s’ classics collection, and The KLF’s ‘America: What Time Is Love?’ single which could fetch £150.

The collection will also include “one-off test pressings, white labels, the Global Underground classics”, according to Warren.

“They are all here and loads more will be sold by the wonderful folks at Omega Auctions,” he added with a link to the auction site.

Other lots include indie, punk and new wave records such as The Smith’s ‘Meat Is Murder’, as well as records from Gorillaz, Radiohead, Joy Division, Kraftwerk, and Iggy Pop.

Elsewhere, other lots include Aphex Twin, Chris Horne, Boards Of Canada, and some UK club classic lots with records from Frankie Knuckles, Underworld, Deee-Lite, and more.
