Grimy boss Zernell joins the pair for some digging in Amoeba Music
Amoeba Music has shared a video of house music pioneers Theo Parrish, Marcellus Pittman and Zernell shopping for records in its Hollywood store.
The trio pick out cuts from artists such as Larry Heard, J Dilla, Hiatus Kaiyote, Gangstarr and Pete Rock, discussing the music and playfully fighting over a lone copy of a Universal Togetherness Band 12”.
Parrish is in typically energetic form, reeling off anecdotes and explaining that the true definition of disco is when “white people stole funk.”
