Watch the video for Mikaela’s ‘Max Destruction’ on new label Love The Underground
It’s the first track to be taken from her collaborative EP with Ellie Petterson
Russian producer Mikaela's kicking of her Love The Underground Records label with a collaboration alongside Barcelona-based artist Ellie Petterson.
After appearances at Club NL as apart of ADE, Sankeys Ibiza and Barcelona's Bloc, Mikaela launched LTU through her affection for "underground tech house and techno" and plans to use it as a platform for the next bag of underground talent.
The label will adhere to a strict no vocals policy and the first release, the 'Maximum Destruction' EP, is out today, with a 16-week residency at Destino's Tox Club in Ibiza starting on June 13.
While Petterson appears on the second and third tracks 'Retlaf' and 'Kick', Mikaela goes solo on the title track, delivering a feisty, gloom-pasted roller.
It's matched with an equally haunting purple-tinted video, starting with a girl being led into a black, grid-patterned room, soon to be mobbed by a load of face painted figures dancing among the quick-fire flashing lights.
Catch Mikaela and Ellie Petterson at the EP release party at Blackall Studios, Shoreditch on May 15 and watch the video below.
