​Watch Kitty Amor perform a sunrise Afro house set on the Tisno coast

Ballantine’s True Music and Mixmag have teamed up to bring you a soul-stirring sunrise set from Kitty Amor, filmed ahead of this year’s edition of Defected Croatia.

As the sun peeked over the crystal waters of The Garden, Tisno, the DJ, producer, label boss, and Defected sub-label Mahaba Music boss provided the perfect downtempo soundtrack to a stunning scene.

This set was recorded in the early hours of the morning ahead of the festival’s 2024 edition where Kitty Amor performed on Ballantine's True Music Stage, gradually increasing in energy as the sun emerges over the shores.

Kitty provides a selection of African electronic music over the course of an hour. Check it out below.

Kitty Amor is no stranger to Mixmag. In 2021, she made her Lab LDN debut alongside Sef Kombo, putting together a masterclass in Afro house. The pair later graced the cover of Mixmag, telling their stories about the UK's house scene.

Leading the way in the Afro house scene in the UK today, Kitty’s multifaceted career spans work as a DJ, producer, promoter, curator, radio host, writer, and activist, while also running her record label, Mahaba Music, launched in late 2023.
