Watch Jacques Renault live from the W Sound Suite pop-up in NYC
An intimate session with the co-founder of Let's Play House
Mixmag and the W New York are set to deliver a live stream from the W Sound Suite pop-up this Wednesday, August 2, featuring influential DJ and producer Jacques Renault.
Whether with his original productions or Let's Play House, the roving party series and record label he co-founded with Nik Mercer, Jacques Renault showcases an eclectic blend of house and disco. The Washington, D.C. native moved to Chicago in the late 90s where he became a buyer at the legendary Gramaphone Records and held a residency at the renowned nightclub Smartbar. Now living in Brooklyn, he continues to be at the forefront of the underground dance music community, both local and abroad.
As an in-room recording studio inside the hotel, the W Sound Suite pop-up features professional recording equipment alongside sweeping views of Midtown Manhattan. The location will also be transformed into a tropical garden oasis outside, designed by Big Apple Florist.
The W Sound Suite pop-up will run from August through November 2017.
Tune into Mixmag’s Facebook at 8pm ET Wednesday, August 2 to catch the live stream or watch on Mixmag TV the next day.
