Watch a new documentary exploring Moodymann’s iconic Soul Skate party
A collaborative film from Dazed, NTS And Carhartt WIP
This week Dazed, Carthartt WIP and London’s NTS Radio shared a new collaborative film exploring Moodymann’s bi-annual Soul Skate party.
Titled Soul Skate 2018, the film features the voice of Kenny Dixon Jr., aka Moodymann, and examines the role of skating in Detroit’s subcultural history and its importance to date.
The Ramone Anderson-directed film also watches on as various skaters from across the world hit up the iconic Soul Skate roller disco in Detroit, with many discussing their passions for the pastime on film.
