Warning issued after two deaths and a hospitalisation linked to dangerous pill batch in London

Drug welfare organisation Release Drugs has issued a warning after a dangerous batch of pills has been linked to two deaths and a hospitalisation last weekend.

The green, circular pills - marked with an "80" - are reported to contain Isotonitazene, MDMA and ketamine; Isotonitazene is a powerful synthetic opioid known to increase the risk of overdose.

According to Release, the pills are currently circulating in London nightclubs, though it remains unclear if they are being sold as MDMA pills or another drug.

Sharing the warning via an Instagram story, Release confirmed the pills were linked to two deaths and hospitalisation in Southall, Ealing.

The pill alert warns that anyone who has consumed the pills and experiences side affects such as dizziness, uncontrolled vomiting, slow reflexes, tiredness and unconsciousness should seek medical help immediately.
