Vessel to release new album on Tri Angle Records
‘Queens of Golden Dogs’ will be the Bristolian artist’s third album
Tri Angle Records has announced a new release from Bristolian artist Vessel.
Titled ‘Queens of Golden Dogs’, the new project from Vessel, aka Sebastian Gainsborough, follows up their 2014 LP ‘Punish, Honey’.
Described by Tri Angle as, “exploration of living a life devoted to uncertainty, curiosity and change”, the album was conceived and developed over an 18-month period of solitude in rural Wales.
Drawing inspiration from chamber music, painter Remedios Varo and more, ‘Queens of Golden Dogs’ marks a sonic departure from Vessel’s previous offerings.
"I wanted to make this work to realise experiences that I thought I had already had,” explained Gainsborough via a statement. “Quite quickly I realised that I was reaching too far; and because I wanted so much more I had to give more. I often think that the writing was mutual."
Tri Angle are set to release ‘Queens of Golden Dogs’ on November 9, with a limited edition coloured vinyl drop due November 23. Pre-order the album here and listen to lead track ‘Argo (For Maggie)’ below.
