Venus Ex Machina unveils debut album 'Lux'

Venus Ex Machina has unveiled her debut album, 'Lux'.

The composer, sound designer and interdisciplinary artist will release the record via Tasker's AD93 and has promised an LP that is "a digital sanctuary, a choral ambience, layered electronics, no in-put mixer scree, a requiem for an earth beset by environmental change."

The album will be released in January 2021 and follows audio and visual work for NON Worldwide, Optimo, Hyperdub and the ICA as well as workshops and performances at Moogfest and CTM.

Having previously created a "pirate AI" opera, written film scores, created site-specific installations and led workshops in radio transmitter building, we're placing early bets that Venus Ex Machina's 'Lux' will be one of the most interesting releases of 2021.

You can preview and pre-order the eight-track album here.
