Unsound has revealed FLOWER POWER is the theme for the 15th edition of its festival in Krakow which runs across October 8 to 15. Creative director Mat Schulz has described the theme as “an exploration of counter-culture forged in opposition to dominant forces.”

2017 marks 50 years since the Summer of Love, and the theme nods to this period’s aspirational and chaotic nature, as well as exploring “dark ecology and biology both before and after human life, considering what might have preceded us and what might be left to sustain”.

Unsound has called for writers, academic, filmmakers and artists to send in one-page proposals to the festival via flowerpower@unsound.pl before May 15 relating to the topic of FLOWER POWER and what it could and should mean.

Line-up details for Unsound will be announced in the coming months.
