Underground Resistance share their distaste for Trump and discuss the history of Detroit
"If you don't vote, it's a vote for Donald Trump"
John Collins and Eddie Fowlkes of Underground Resistance have come to Channel 4 News to discuss the current state of US politics and the importance of voting.
With just days until one of the most controversial election days in US history, the Detroit techno founders took to the major news channel to speak on their detest towards Donald Trump and how the country's decision could affect their city's culture.
"I think that if you don't vote, it's a vote for Donald Trump. You can vote for anybody you want but I'm supporting Hillary Clinton," Collins opens.
Eddie continued: "Hate is a strong word - I despise Donald Trump - I mean I totally despise him. But what I do know, it has nothing to do with my music."
Both members of Underground Resistance went on to voice their concerns about Detroit's future, explaining that the city and its techno culture are a direct stem of discrimination and economic decay, but there has always been potential and hope for growth.
