Umfang announces new album ‘Symbolic Use Of Light’

Umfang’s new album ‘Symbolic Use Of Light’ is coming out through Ninja Tune sublabel Technicolour on June 16.
It marks her first release of the year, following on from 2016’s ‘Riffs’ EP on 1080p.
Speaking about the record, the Discwoman co-founder, who aims to promote the presence of female-identifying artists in dance music, said: “I want people to know that [producing is] accessible and that I taught myself and that you can learn too.”
The full-length was made using a pair of Boss DR 202s, with input from an x0xb0x and Korg Volca FM synth "for the occasional 'alien noise'”.
