UK drum ‘n’ bass DJ Emba has been dropped from a forthcoming show alongside Hybrid Minds after he was accused of sexual assault and harassment.
Emba, real name Dave Wilson, was accused of inappropriate behaviour by jungle and drum ‘n’ bass vocalist Brodie last week (May 7), who alleged in in a statement posted via Instagram that she was "sexually harassed and sexually assaulted" by a fellow artist.
Resident Advisor reports that the accusations were made against Wilson, who was supporting Hybrid Minds alongside Brodie in November 2025.
Brodie’s statement alleges that Wilson made suggestive and derogatory comments while on the tour bus, and insisted on getting her "into his single bed only a few spaces away from mine".
"When I showed no interest, he continued to shout in a very frustrated tone to one of the other DJs: ‘Give that bitch another vally (valium pill), that will get her into my fucking bed’," she alleged in her statement.
She went on to accuse Wilson of "constantly talking about his penis and sex for a good 30 minutes" before emerging in his boxers and pulling "suggestive faces" at Brodie.
"I woke up the next evening scared to get out of my bed on the bus," she wrote. "I managed to convince myself that he was just drunk and acting out of character."
She then accused Wilson of sexually assaulting her during a performance while "stone cold sober", alleging that pressed his body up against her and "squeezed my boobs".
"I just froze and couldn’t even speak or turn around to look at him," she wrote. "I was 19-years-old, and he was in what I assume is his 40s with a partner and newborn baby at home."
She claimed that there were several witnesses to the incident, and that it was reported and "dealt with really well", which resulted in him "getting kicked off the tour".
"I am speaking up now due to the fact that he has been booked for [Hybrid Minds’] next event," she wrote. "I feel completely disgusted, anxious, upset and silenced."
A representative for Hybrid Minds has confirmed to Mixmag that Emba will no longer appear at their forthcoming open-air show, Hybrid Minds: Atmosphere, at Barking Park on May 31.
Mixmag has reached out to Emba for comment.
