Two people have died after attending Wireless Festival in London

A 20-year-old woman and 16-year-old boy have passed away after going to Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park, London last weekend.

The woman died in hospital on Monday after she fell ill at the three-day event, which took place from July 6 to 8. Police are currently investigating the cause of death.

Local reports state the teenage boy had an asthma attack when leaving the festival just after 9.30pm. Paramedics treated him but he died in hospital at 12.30am.

Wireless caused controversy when the line-up was announced and there were only three women due to play. In response to a backlash, it launched an all-female stage featuring the likes of Barely Legal, Lady Leshurr and Bad Gyal.

Fans were also unhappy that DJ Khaled's scheduled headline set was cancelled on the day of the festival, but Drake filled in as a surprise replacement.
