Two new events debut in Sydney this month as 2017 kicks off in style.

Local collective Mororik launch their latest one-dayer Idealism this Saturday (January 7) with Optimo (pictured), Flight Facilities and Adelaide's finest Carmelo Biamchetti, in both Late Nite Tuff Guy and DJ HMC modes, as well as their own Motorik Vibe Council.

Held at Sydney University's Manning Bar, it follows the label's Futurism and Escapism events last year.

A couple of weeks later on Australia Day Eve (January 25) events pros UNDR Ctrl team up with label I OH YOU for their new series Extra Pulp.

The debut is set to take over the deck at the Pier One Hotel under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and will feature Melbourne disco selector CC:DISCO!, Dreems, Jagwar Ma's Jono Ma as his Juno Mars alias, Rimbombo and Simon Caldwell.

The events will take Sydney-siders on a journey around new spaces across the city with each incarnation.
