Traxmatik x Dizzee Rascal

This is from 'Pirata', the bulging free download comp from Mexico's NAAFI label and party. It features a slew of South American producers who here create cheeky remixes and edits to recontextualise club music from Europe and North America as well as the latter's mainstream rap and r'n'b. As you can tell from its name, it's a trove of party tunes and one of the best is this refix of Dizzee's famous 'Strings Hoe' riddim, which has obviously seen countless remixes but this one, set at a loping sub-100bpm tempo, is undeniable. Simmered right down, the lead riff takes on a sexy new life of its own. Don't sleep!
