​Tickets to "Fyre Fest 2" have just gone on sale... for $499

Billy McFarland, the convicted felon behind the catastrophic 2017 Fyre Fest, has announced the festival’s return next year – and tickets are on sale now for up to $7,999.

McFarland co-founded the ill-fated music festival six years ago alongside Ja Rule, and were eventually sued for $100 million after the as-sold luxury Bahamas festival was discovered to be a fraudulent scam. McFarland was sentenced to six years but was recently released from prison after serving just four.

Now, McFarland is planning the next edition of Fyre Fest, set to take place “at the end of next year”. The first 100 tickets have gone on sale for $499 a pop, and range up to $7,999 for higher-tier tickets.

Fyre Fest 2 has yet to see a secured line-up, location, or dates, but has been confirmed by McFarland on social media who explained that he’s written a “50-page plan” of how it would take place - somewhere in the Caribbean.

“It has been the absolute wildest journey to get here, and it really all started during the seven-month stint in solitary confinement,” he said on TikTok yesterday (August 21).

“I wrote this 50–page plan of how it would take this overall interest and demand in Fyre, how it would take my ability to bring people from around the world together and make the impossible happen, how I would find the best partners in the world to allow me to be me while executing Fyre’s vision to the highest level.”

Higher price tier tickets range from $799 to $7,999, he explained in the video, which will become available soon. “We’ll be doing pop-ups and events across the world,” he added. “This is your chance to get in. This is everything I’ve been working towards.”

In 2019, McFarland, Ja Rule, and their disgraced Fyre Festival became the subject of a now-popular Netflix documentary, FYRE. The convicted felon has also previously mentioned that he hopes to one day make a broadway musical around the subject.
