Radiohead frontman and eclectic solo artist Thom Yorke has unveiled a short excerpt of his new 360° audiovisual art installation.
Set to open in Berlin on April 21, the project is called City Rats and is a collaboration with composer Tarik Barri.
The installation was designed specifically for the ISM Hexadome; a structure with 54 speakers and six screens surrounding the audience.
The unique piece aims to showcase sounds visible as objects in 3D space with the camera's position determining what the audience hears and where they hear it. All harmonies, voices, melodies and rhythms are the result of the listener's flight through space.
