Korg has unveiled two new additions to its ultra-portable nanoSeries MIDI range.

The nanoKey Studio and nanoKontrol Studio, which are operated by batteries, enable users to create and mix sounds completely wirelessly.

Both bits of gear come with a number of great features. The nanoKey is ideal for creating music, equipped with 25 pad-style keys and Scale Guide and Easy Scale functions that make playing easier by illuminating recommended notes and enabling users to produce in set keys.

Above the keys there are eight velocity-sensitive trigger pads through which drums and chords can be recorded and a KAOSS-style touchpad with eight assignable knobs.

The nanoKontrol is geared more towards mixing, providing a jog wheel, transport controls and eight channels of faders and functions.

Each MIDI controller comes with a selection of production software, with both able to connect to a PC, Mac and or iOS device via a USB cable or wirelessly through Bluetooth.
