These are the tunes that define Dance 88/89

We all love the Balearic, acid-drenched house sounds of the late 80s. Before the 90's came around and rave culture took full swing, there was a sound taking over that screamed happiness and euphoria.

Dance 88/89 is the new party aimed at bringing those good times back and what better way to do that than by sticking all the best DJs from that era in one room and really letting loose.

For one night only, Manchester becomes mad again and we're being transported back to the summer of love, with selectors like Alfredo, Marshall Jefferson, Adamski, Graeme Park and Mr C heading to Victoria Warehouse on March 27.

To celebrate the epic throwback party and the Dance 88/89 residency that's going to take place this summer at Sankeys Ibiza, we spoke to some of the legendary DJs playing this weekend to select their essential tracks from that fabled era.
