There’s now an 808 whisky
An 8-date tour featuring DJ Harvey, Thomas Melchior and Maya Jane Coles will celebrate the tipple
Dance music and drinking has always been a winning formula, and now there’s a new product that brings that relationship even closer. TommyD has created a drink called 808 Whisky, named after the legendary Roland drum machine, that combines his love for both.
Expounding on this concept, the Ministry of Sound originator explained: “Whisky brings people together. It’s a sociable drink that inspires conversation. Like the best dance music it has warmth, bottom end, and a definite KICK. 8O8 is whisky but not as you know it. It’s Whisky remixed!”
A series of club nights have been organised to support the launch of 808 Whisky featuring a host of killer DJs.
The 8IN8 tour hits eight cities, kicking off in Newcacstle on March 15 with Maribou State and closing out in London on May 19 with the 808 bossman and a number of special guests.
Further artists set to appear include Yousef, Maya Jane Coles, Joris Voorn, Paul Woolford, DJ Harvey and Thomas Melchior, with cities such as Bristol, Birmingham and Glasgow also playing host.
