There's a Phife Dawg album coming out next year
Still more rhymes to come
A posthumous album from Phife Dawg is arriving next year, his widow has revealed.
Deisha Head Taylor broke the news at a street renaming event last weekend, on what would've been the MC's 46th birthday.
The album will be a follow-up to 2000's 'Ventilaton: Da LP' and was finished before he passed away in March, according to Taylor.
"His solo album will be out probably sometime during the first quarter of 2017. We’re working on it now. He completed his entire solo album before he transitioned, so we’re excited about releasing that."
The intersection of Linden Boulevard and 192th Street in St Albans, New York is now called 'Malik 'Phife Dawg' Taylor Way'.
News of Phife's next album comes just a week after A Tribe Called Quest released their final album 'We Got It From Here...Thank You 4 Your Service'.
